New list of public holidays for 2027

The EVH public holiday list provides details of our suggested dates for public holidays for 2027.  There are two lists, one runs from January to December and the other list runs from April to March.  Full Member organisations are of course free to change the exact dates to suit local trade holiday patterns.  Associate Members will have their own arrangements, but are free to use our list as a guide.

As the public holidays for Easter in 2027 fall at the end of March instead of in April. This means for those members operating the holiday year from 1 April to 31 March for  2027 to 2028 they will have 13 public holidays rather than the standard 15.  However, 2026 to 2027 had 17 public holidays rather than the standard 15.  This was discussed with UNITE who agree with this approach.  If any employee has concerns about this managers should consider alternatives on a case by case basis and seek advice if necessary.
