Dignity at Work

“Dignity at work” describes how we should treat colleagues in the workplace, including respect for their values, qualities and differences.  The actions of your organisation as an employer, and how individuals behave towards each other at work, should reflect these principles.

Your organisation’s dignity at work policies should cover issues that can arise within the workplace, such as bullying, harassment and discrimination.  These types of issues should never be ignored.

We have produced a Model Policy which any of our members can use.  The policy includes definitions of potential problem areas such as bullying and harassment, as well as model procedures for dealing with breaches of dignity at work requirements.
