Even with the right risk assessments and procedures in place, your organisation’s employees may occasionally find themselves in situations that are violent or potentially violent.

While only a small minority of staff members will encounter violence, all staff need to be aware of the risks and be prepared to cope with such incidents.

The Health & Safety Control Manual includes guidance on personal safety as well as some simple routines that will reduce the risks of attack both inside and outside of the office.  Attacks are not only physical, verbal abuse is also a form of violence.
