Resignation

Resignation is when an employee ends their employment contract with their employer. An employee's notification of resignation should be in writing and provide the employer with the notice as outlined in their contract of employment.

The employer should confirm their acceptance of the resignation in writing therefore we have provided a template letter in order to do this.

If an employee resigns in the heat of the moment, whether in an argument or under pressure in a difficult work situation, the employer must act with caution before accepting the resignation. The template resignation in haste letter could be used in this circumstance.
