About Us
Cernach Housing Association is a successful and well performing community-based registered social landlord (RSL) operating in Drumchapel, North west Glasgow since 1991. We own 877 homes, and we provide a management service to 17 sharing owners and 140 homeowners. We act as community anchor organisation for Drumchapel. Our turnover is £4.8 million, a major part of which comes from rental income.

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiast and committed individual to join the Cernach team in the post Maintenance Officer. This is an additional resource to our structure. Our Maintenance team delivers a first class reactive repairs, investment, compliance and cyclical service to our customers. We ensure a customer-focused service is provided to all residents and stakeholders. We work closely with our partners and stakeholders to ensure we provide a high standard of delivery service. You will be actively involved in our community engagement work and support our thriving community in Drumchapel.

You will report to the Senior Maintenance Officer. You will have the support of an experienced team, which consists of another Maintenance Officer and two Assistant Maintenance Officers.

You Should
We are seeking an individual who has a genuine passion to deliver excellent customer service, upholdprofessional standards and be a confident and dynamic member of the team.

We are looking for you to have the following skills or relevant transferable skills:

  • Practical experience in property maintenance, repairs or inspections, or has strong relevant hands‑on skills.
  • Has a good understanding of housing repairs and health and safety requirements, ideally within a social housing environment.
  • Is well organised, able to manage competing priorities and take ownership of their workload.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally and respectfully with tenants, contractors and colleagues.
  • Is confident using IT systems to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to fairness, equality, confidentiality and health & safety.
