Maintenance Officer
Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week), agile working mainly 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
Do you have a qualified technical background that can be applied to managing a first class repairs service in our housing stock? Do you have a background of managing contractors? Can you drive performance and manage budgets? Do you have good organisational and IT skills? Do you ensure our customer always comes first?
Job Purpose:
As the Maintenance Officer for Queens Cross Housing Association, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that we provide a high quality repairs service in our 4,400 properties. Social housing experience would be an advantage but it is not essential – we are looking for candidates that understand the importance of good customer service, contract management and providing the best service possible whilst ensuring value for money.
You will:
- Assist in the organisation and management of reactive repairs service.
- Work closely with our contractor and customers to ensure excellent services.
- Build relationships and influence decision-making to enhance service delivery.
- Be comfortable implementing digital solutions and using software systems.
- Have excellent communication skills to engage with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Essential criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering a repairs and maintenance function in a customer service focussed environment.
- Have experience in carrying out internal/external property inspections and assessing repair work required.
