About the Role

We are looking for an ICT Officer to join our Finance and Corporate Services Team. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, you will lead and support key areas of our digital transformation programme, including the migration to SharePoint and a cloud-based server environment. You will work closely with our external ICT managed service provider to plan and deliver improvements while minimising disruption to staff and services.

This is an opportunity to play a leading role in the next stage of Cernach Housing Association’s digital development. We have a range of software currently in place, and have continuously held Cyber Essentials Plus certification for the past three years. You will combine hands-on technical support with project delivery, cyber-security awareness, staff training and effective management of external ICT suppliers.

This is a part-time post of 14 hours per week, normally worked across two days between Monday and Friday. Working pattern will be agreed with the successful applicant when the post is offered. At least 50% of the postholder’s weekly hours must be worked in our Drumchapel office, with regular travel to and from the office required. Occasional work outside normal working hours may also be necessary.

Fixed-term Status

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis until 30 November 2028. It has been established for a defined period to support the Association’s ICT requirements and digital transformation programme and to gauge the ongoing ICT requirements of the business.

The successful applicant’s employment under this contract will end on the stated date. Applicants should therefore apply on the understanding that there is no guarantee or expectation that the post will be extended or made permanent. Any extension would depend on the Association’s requirements at that time and would be confirmed separately in writing.

The successful applicant will have the statutory employment rights and contractual benefits applicable to fixed-term employees throughout their employment. The ending of the fixed-term contract will be managed in accordance with applicable employment law and a fair process.

About You

You will be an experienced ICT professional who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and helping colleagues get the best from technology. You will be confident providing day-to-day ICT support while also taking responsibility for projects and system improvements.

You will have experience of Microsoft 365 and working with external ICT providers and suppliers, together with a good understanding of cyber security and information security. You will also be comfortable explaining technical matters in plain language, providing staff training and producing straightforward user guidance.

Experience of SharePoint, cloud-based systems, Cyber Essentials Plus or working within housing, the public sector or another regulated environment would be welcome, although these are desirable rather than essential requirements.

Above all, you will be organised, approachable and customer-focused, able to work collaboratively within a small team and keen to contribute to change, innovation and continuous improvement.

Please note that this post is subject to a Level 1 disclosure.
