Housing Officer
Established in 1977 as one of Scotland’s first community-based Housing Associations we have a strong track record of fantastic work in the local community. We now have a housing stock exceeding 1700 units across a wide range of types and ages.
The group comprises of Parkhead Lettings Company, Parkhead Development Company and we have a refurbished community and business facility at Parkhead Schoolhouse.
We are positioned close to the 2014 Commonwealth Games Village, Celtic Park, the Emirates Arena, Parkhead Forge and the recently opened Parkhead Hub (a new health and social care hub). The centre of our community is Parkhead Cross which is a conservation area hosting a number of listed buildings.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic housing professional to join our Housing Services team. Reporting to the Housing Manager the successful applicant will be self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills in addition to previous experience of working in a fast paced and reactive environment.
The Housing Officer will deliver on all aspects of housing management activity including: rent arrears monitoring and control; allocation of void properties; estate management to enhance the quality of our neighbourhoods and investigation and resolution of anti-social behaviour complaints.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering all core housing management functions and will show a commitment to putting customers first. This is in addition to demonstrating: excellent communication skills; exceptional interpersonal and team working skills; being proficient in the use of MS Office applications and demonstrating the ability to plan and prioritise a heavy workload.
