About Upkeep

We are a social enterprise, providing high quality, value for money property maintenance and estate management services to Shettleston Housing Association and its tenants. The Role

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and experienced Repairs Service Manager to join our management team. This is a key leadership role for the operational direction of Upkeep’s Trades Team and the delivery of excellent performance across all operational areas, including void management, reactive maintenance, and cyclical project services.

We’re looking for someone who brings a blend of technical expertise, leadership ability and a strong customer focused mindset.

Key Outputs

  • Lead and manage Upkeep’s Trade Teams, ensuring compliance, quality standards and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved quality performance and value for money.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of Upkeep’s new scheduling/workflow system.
  • Develop, implement and monitor robust performance management systems.
  • Prepare project costs / plans and ensure detailed progress reporting.
  • Develop trade capability and capacity to support future capital works growth.
  • Promote Health & Safety best practice and ensure compliance with all policies and legal obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners and customers.
  • Attend and, when required, deputise for the Head of Operations at Board meetings and other key engagements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Estates manager, Stock Controller, health & Safety Officer and corporate services officer to deliver an exceptional service to Shettleston Housing Association and their tenants.
  • Ensure that work is priced appropriately and completed profitably and effectively.
  • Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement across the organisation.
