Repairs, Investment and Compliance Officer (RICO)
Wheatley Solutions is looking for a Repairs, Investment and Compliance Officer (RICO) to join its team.
Hours: Full Time, (35 hours per week), worked Monday - Friday.
Location: Glasgow (home-agile worker with travel requirement across group stock and Group offices).

About the role
You will be responsible for the delivery and programming of a varied workload. This may include; asbestos management, gas safety, water quality, mechanical contract delivery, fire safety etc. along with leading on the delivery of any new services and enhancing the existing services.
You will have day-to-day responsibility for certain key aspects, including:
- Project management of mechanical and electrical (M&E) repairs programmes;
- Development and management of planned maintenance programs for M&E works;
- Work with our contracting partners to deliver agreed compliance capital works programmes;
- Ensure value for money from any projects ensuring maximum value for the business and customer satisfaction outcomes;
- Provide Landlord Assurance through quality inspections of completed works;
- Management and delivery of financial payment valuations;
- Identification and management of defects and resolution liaison with internal colleagues and external partners;
- Work with our frontline housing services and provide general advice and assistance any technical support as and when required;
- Dispute resolution on operational project matters;
- Instruction of works following investigations;
- Building pathology; and
- General advice and assistance to frontline staff.
Who are we looking for?
The role will be varied and challenging, and will require excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as sound knowledge of the legislative context in which the housing sector operates. You will have excellent technical knowledge and experience of dealing with multiple contractors to deliver an exceptional compliance service to ensure the safety of our homes and customers.
You must also be able to demonstrate a flexible approach in meeting changing demands, shaping priorities, influencing senior leaders and being able to effectively manage your own workload in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
