As part of our dedication to developing talent and creating opportunities within our community, we are delighted to offer a Modern Apprenticeship within our Housing Services Department, working as part of our Customer Service Team.

About the Role

As a Modern Apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in housing administration, customer service, tenancy management support, and community engagement. You will work alongside experienced staff while completing a nationally recognised qualification through an approved training provider which will help you progress in your future career.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is enthusiastic, empathetic, motivated, and keen to develop new skills within the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front‑line support to tenants, other customers and visitors
  • Assist with tenancy administration, record‑keeping, and housing service tasks
  • Support community engagement activities and projects
  • Work towards completing your SCQF level 6 in Housing qualification as part of the Modern Apprenticeship programme
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and customer‑focused working environment

What We Are Looking For/Essential Criteria

  • Interest in housing, community work, or public service
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Basic IT skills
  • Commitment to completing Modern Apprenticeship learning requirements
  • An ability to show empathy and care for others
  • Three National 4 qualifications (including English and Maths) or equivalent.

Eligibility Requirement: Local Residency

As part of our commitment to supporting local employment and strengthening our community links in Erskine, all candidates who live in Erskine, and meet the essential criteria will automatically progress to interview stage.
