Work Pattern: Dayshift - 37.5 hours per week, 4 on 4 off pattern (7.30am - 7.30pm).

Recognised for its innovation, quality services and high performance, we are we are looking for dedicated, customer-focused Estates Services Caretakers to join our Estates Services team.

Our Caretakers play a vital role in creating neighbourhoods where tenants feel proud to live. Whether maintaining communal areas, carrying out inspections, responding to incidents, or supporting estate improvements, you will help ensure our buildings and environments remain safe, clean, and well maintained.

As a Day Shift Estate Services Caretaker, you'll help ensure our estates are safe, secure, clean and well maintained while delivering excellent customer service to our tenants and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality estate caretaking services across our neighbourhoods.
  • Carry out estate inspections and take action to resolve cleaning, maintenance and environmental issues.
  • Undertake cleaning, minor repairs and property maintenance to maintain safe and clean communal areas.
  • Provide a visible presence on our estates and respond to customer enquiries and incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and partner agencies to resolve estate issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
  • Work flexibly in a reactive environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in estate caretaking, facilities management, property maintenance, cleaning, a trade or a similar frontline role.
  • Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to organise your own workload and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Practical skills to undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Basic IT skills for recording information and communicating effectively.
  • A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities.
