Compliance Co-ordinator

We are investing in a new Compliance Co-ordinator role to strengthen our approach to landlord health and safety compliance and provide assurance that our homes continue to meet the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Property Services team and play a key role in protecting tenants, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring full compliance across our housing stock.
About the Role
The Compliance Co-ordinator will support the planning, monitoring and delivery of statutory compliance programmes across our property portfolio. The role will help ensure that all landlord health and safety obligations are met, compliance data remains accurate and audit-ready, and contractors perform to the standards expected by the Association.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Supporting the delivery of gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, water hygiene, lifting equipment, damp and mould, and other compliance programmes.
- Monitoring compliance performance and maintaining accurate records and certification.
- Producing compliance reports, dashboards and assurance information for senior management and the Management Committee.
- Supporting contractor management and performance monitoring.
- Assisting with risk management, audits, regulatory assurance and continuous improvement activities.
- Working closely with tenants, contractors and colleagues to promote a positive safety culture.
About You
We are looking for someone with an HNC in Construction management, (or working towards the qualification). You will be a motivated and organised individual who can combine technical understanding with excellent communication and analytical skills.
You will ideally have:
- Experience supporting compliance programmes within housing, property or technical services.
- Experience working within a Scottish Housing Association or Registered Social Landlord environment.
- Strong knowledge of landlord health and safety compliance requirements including gas, electrical, fire, asbestos and water hygiene regulations.
- Experience interpreting technical information and managing compliance data.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The confidence to work effectively with contractors, tenants and colleagues at all levels.

WHA are a member of the Scottish Housing Associations’ Pension Scheme with options of DC pension schemes for incoming employees to choose from. The rates which are currently on offer are:
- Scheme 1: Employee 3% / Employer 6%
- Scheme 2: Employee 5% / Employer 10%
- Scheme 3: Employee 8% / Employer 13%
Scheme 3 will increase at a 1% incremental rate (for both Employer and employee) on an annual basis until it reaches 10% Employee and 15% Employer contribution rates in April 2028.
