Community Housing Officer

Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover commencing November 2026
Hours: 4 Day/32 hour working week (Monday –Thursday)
Location: Hybrid Working (2 days home/2 days office)

We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced Housing Officer to provide 12 months maternity cover. Reporting to the Housing Manager and working closely with the Housing Assistant and Tenancy Sustainment Officer. You will be responsible for delivering housing services to our social and mid-market rent tenants in East Lothian, with specific responsibility for property allocations, rent arrears, anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood management.

Post Requirements

Strong communication skills - able to listen, empathise, and resolve issues effectively.
Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy agreements.
Confidence in handling challenging situations with professionalism and care.
A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage your own workload.
