Venue History

We were delighted to be approached by Joseph Sharples of Glasgow University who was interested in our building as it was designed by Honeyman, Keppie and Mackintosh (the architectural firm in which Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a partner).

After he paid us a visit, Joseph was able to make a link between Betty's Room and a website he had seen on the history of photography.  This chance encounter gave us proof that Betty's Room was once a studio back in the early part of the 20th Century for eminent photographer Louis Saul Langfier.

We are proud to be working in an environment with such an interesting past and we are sure that Betty would have approved.
