Management Committee Members

  • Position: Management Committee Members
  • Location: Glasgow
  • Closing Date: 30 October 2025, 17:00

We are a small, community-based housing association in the West End of Glasgow, and currently have vacancies for keen and able recruits to our voluntary Management Committee.

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making, governance, and oversight of our organisation’s work and the impact it has within the Yorkhill Community. We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, particularly those with expertise in:

  • Housing and property management
  • Finance and audit
  • Community development
  • Legal and regulatory compliance
  • Health and safety
  • Digital transformation and communications
  • Procurement

No prior board experience is necessary — we offer a full induction and ongoing support to help you thrive in the role. There will also be ample opportunity to attend training events and conferences to gain further insight into the social housing sector. What matters most is your commitment to our values and your willingness to contribute to our future strategies.

Time Commitment: Our Management Committee meets 10 months in the year, with the exception of January and July. Meetings usually last between 1.5 and 2 hours, however the papers for each meeting should be read in advance.

Further Opportunities: Our Association have a further 2 sub-committees which take a more detailed look at how we deliver our services. If you join our Management Committee, you’d be more than welcome to join these too if interested.

Location: Meetings are held within our office, but remote attendance via Zoom can also be accommodated.

Remuneration: This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

How To Apply: If you’re interested in joining a forward-thinking, community-focused organisation, we’d love to hear from you. We’d really appreciate if you could fill out the ‘Register of Interest form’ attached to this advert and return to cdavidson@yorkhillha.org. You can also email this address or call our office on 0141 285 7910 informally to learn more.

Completion of the Equalities Monitoring Form is optional, and you can also access our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ document which answers some common questions those interested in Committee membership may have.
