The Role
This is a broad, high-impact leadership position. You will:
- Lead and continually strengthen Waverley’s governance and assurance frameworks, ensuring full compliance with the Scottish Housing Regulator’s standards.
- Act as our Data Protection Officer and provide oversight of information governance, health & safety assurance, and business continuity.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding project and change disciplines that deliver tangible benefits for tenants and staff.
- Lead corporate performance reporting and statutory returns, ensuring insight, accuracy, and transparency.
- Oversee internal and external communications, promoting open engagement and protecting Waverley’s strong reputation.
- Support and develop your teams, building capability, resilience and alignment with Waverley’s values.
About You
- You’ll be an experienced senior professional with a strong track record in governance, assurance or business improvement — ideally within the RSL, housing or wider public/third sector.
- Strategic leadership experience and an ability to influence at Board and senior level.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and risk management.
- Strong communication and analytical skills with a focus on outcomes and service excellence.
- A collaborative and inclusive leadership style that inspires trust and accountability.
- A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) and professional membership such as CIH, CGI, or similar is desirable.
