To achieve this, we are expanding our Customer Services Team to deliver our challenging business plan objectives. We are investing over £1m a year of improvements to our housing stock over the next 5 years and the role of Asset Officer will provide key operational support to the Customer Services Team Leader and colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you should be confident working within a performance culture where you will be expected to deliver excellent results. You will have in depth knowledge of the key issues relating to the Association’s physical assets and surrounding environment and have the technical knowledge to ensure they are maintained to the highest standard.  You will be familiar with the regulatory standards and meeting compliance with SQHS and EESSH.

Value for money is central to all that we do, and the Asset Officer will take an active role in the procurement of works and management and delivery of health and safety compliance, in reactive and  planned maintenance and in major investment works. This will mean ensuring we achieve the right balance between quality and costs.  We want to ensure we meet or exceed the expectations of our customers every time. You will work closely with your Customer Services colleagues to provide technical guidance and support when required. You will already be a confident communicator, and able to take a measured and reassuring approach when dealing with our customers.  You will also be a skilled negotiator and a demanding client with contractors - ensuring DPHA achieves the best results when it comes to procuring works and services.

You will be instinctively customer focused and have a “solution focused” attitude to ensure that our customers’ experiences of our service remains positive.  You will understand the importance of working with partner agencies to achieve desired outcomes.  You will have a key role in ensuring the required outcomes of the Scottish Social Housing Charter are met for our tenants.
