Finance Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated individual – ideally a chartered accountant or with a relevant degree - to join our Management Team with operational responsibility for finance, ICT and debt management activities and performance.
The preferred candidate will be performance driven, and will demonstrate role flexibility, strong ICT skills (adept in excel), excellent communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
Core Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the direction and management of a small team of staff (finance, ICT and debt management).
- Fostering a proactive team culture that demonstrates ownership and ensures the successful delivery and achievement of operational and performance standards in support of the corporate objectives of GWHA and its commercial subsidiary Glasgow West Enterprises.
- High level of technical knowledge and experience, focus on compliance, risk management and co-ordination of team performance.
Key Tasks include:
- Operational leadership and direction of Finance, ICT and debt management activities and performance.
- Effective management and support of team, including annual performance reviews, SMART Team Plans, regular planning and supervision sessions.
- Financial management and planning; compliance with internal financial controls.
- Treasury management policy implementation.
- Assisting with Annual Accounts/Audit preparation.
- Budget and Management Accounts preparation.
- Preparation of annual insurance declaration and liaison with key stakeholders.
- Administration of Component Accounting.
- Implementing the ICT strategy aligned with organisational goals, including overseeing the management and security of ICT systems, infrastructure, and data (ensuring robust cyber security protocols, disaster recovery and data protection (GDPR) compliance).
- Supporting digital transformation projects, including tenant-facing services and back-office systems (e.g. housing management software).
