Mental Health First Aider Forum - October 2026

Join us on Thursday 22 October for the last Mental Health First Aider Forum of the year. This forum is open to everyone, including those who were unable to attend the previous sessions earlier this year.

A mental health First Aider's role is to act as the lead point of contact to support an individual when they experience a mental health crisis, to engage in active listening and offer advice and signposting to other professional resources.  A practitioner's role is also to act as lead within the organisation to support awareness around mental health generally and actively engage in raising the level of conversation and support for positive mental health approaches within the organisation.

In the final session of 2026, Seamus Corry, Wellbeing & Mental Health Consultant will reflect on topics and challenges discussed at previous forums and allow delegates the chance to celebrate what has gone well.  The forum will give delegates the opportunity to look at practice, how it can be developed and improved, and finally look ahead to establish an agreed working practice as Mental Health First Aiders.  Seamus will also review the key principles and responsibilities of what it means to be a trained mental health first aider and how the role is embedded into organisations.

It will give delegates a chance to feedback collectively whilst participating in the forum sessions, and comment on whether or not we would like these to continue in the future and how we would like them delivered if this was possible.

EVH will be on hand to hear formal feedback from all present to consider improvements in the programme for any future developments if this were to happen.

The forum will take place on Thursday 22 October online via Zoom from 10.00am – 12.00 noon. There will be a nominal charge of £25+VAT per delegate.  Please note this is a members’ only Forum.
