Mental Health First Aider Forum

New for 2026!
In response to member feedback, we are pleased to launch a new virtual Mental Health First Aider Forum starting from January 2026.
We are aware that our membership holds a plethora of qualified and enthusiastic staff who have gained (or wish to gain) their Mental Health First Aid certificate, and some are perhaps wondering what comes next once qualified? Do you just sit back and wait for someone in crisis needing support, or do you take the opportunity to become more proactive to influence the Mental Health culture of your organisation?
This is where it differs from a normal first aid role, a mental health practitioner’s role is absolutely to support an individual’s mental health when called upon, but it can also be to lead the organisation’s awareness around mental health generally, raising the level of conversation and support regarding mental health in a number of ways.
Led by Seamus Corry, Wellbeing & Mental Health Consultant from the Potentially You Project, this Forum will bring practitioners together to allow the space to talk about their role and how it is for them, it will offer collegial support, a deeper understanding of the role and how it can be deployed in your organisation.
We anticipate holding these forums on a quarterly basis, with Seamus leading and supporting attendees through different conversations within structured sessions.
The first Forum will take place on Thursday 29 January 2026 online via Zoom from 10.00am – 12.00 noon. There will be a nominal charge of £25+VAT per delegate. Please note this is a members’ only Forum.
