Mindfulness Event

We offered members a Mindfulness session on Tuesday 17 November 2020 from 11.00 am until 12.00pm via Zoom.  Believe it or not, it has been six months since we ran our last session and we wanted to again encourage you take some time for yourself and join us for something a little different themed  “a warm drink and Mindfulness with Martin”.

Martin Stepek of Ten for Zen host this session and he is one of Scotland’s foremost teachers in Mindfulness, a published author in the field and an ex- Sunday Herald Columnist on Mindfulness.  With the clocks having moved back and the days getting shorter, it’s very natural for your mood to take a slump. So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed or a wee bit down as the winter sets in, bringing mindfulness to simple everyday activities, such as drinking a cup of tea, can be a great way to build moments of mindfulness into your day. Martin expertly guided delegates in using a hot drink  for a relaxing and enriching meditation. He showed us how practicing mindfulness helps you let go of negative thoughts, feelings and emotions, and enjoy life.

It was very well attend by our members and it was certainly a very worthwhile session.
