Holiday Pay Session

Due to popular demand two sessions were held on holiday pay - one on 15 December 2014 and the other on 13 January 2015.  Paul McMahon, Partner, Brodies LLP presented the sessions.  

Paul provided an overview of the recent Employment Appeals Tribunal ruling in the long awaited case of Bear Scotland Ltd v Fulton and others – and its implication on calculating holiday pay.

Paul went on to outline the Holiday Pay Risk Assessment package available from Brodies to EVH Members which is offered at a heavily discounted fixed price. This was of particular interest to those employers concerned over the significant financial implications arising from the recent ruling on a requirement to include additional payments, such as overtime, in the calculation of holiday pay and the risk of back-dated claims.
