Govanhill Housing Association is a community-controlled Housing Association.  We own and manage over 2,600 homes and provide a Factoring Service to a further 1,400 owners. We have a substantial Major Repairs and Planned Maintenance Programme and are involved in wider regeneration activity through our subsidiary company Govanhill Community Development Trust.

WELFARE REFORM OFFICER
(FIXED TERM 12 MONTHS)
EVH GRADE 7 - Spinal points 22 - 25
(£32,111 - £35,260) from 1 April 2018

We are seeking an experienced individual to work with our Rents and Welfare Rights teams for a 12 month fixed term period to support our tenants and our wider community as we move to Universal Credit Full Service.

The requirements of the post include:
• Working with and supporting tenants to make online claims for Welfare Benefits.
• Working in our wider community and developing written and video resources to help non-English speaking benefit claimants to access the financial support they are entitled to.


Suitable candidates must demonstrate a knowledge of Welfare Benefits and have experience of developing and delivering information campaigns.  It would be desirable for the successful candidate to speak a community language.
