Charing Cross Housing Association is looking to recruit a temporary Maintenance Assistant to cover maternity leave. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, hard-working and committed to providing an excellent service to our tenants and owners. This role covers the provision of the front-line repairs
service, dealing with reactive and cyclical repairs, monitoring contractor performance and managing the gas servicing programme.

The Association primarily operates within the Woodlands and Garnethill areas of Glasgow, where most of the stock comprises pre-1919 tenements.  The Association is a registered Social Housing Landlord and registered Property Factor.  We own and manage approximately 500 social rented flats and provide factoring services to a
further 900 owners.

You will report to the Technical Services Manager and work with the Maintenance and Factoring Officers and Maintenance Assistant. Your duties will involve processing day to day reactive and cyclical repairs, liaising with contractors, monitoring their performance including the collation and issue of monthly feedback reports, managing the gas servicing programme including liaison with contractors and instigating the no access procedure, correspondence with owners and tenants as required.The successful candidate will ideally have relevant proven experience, be computer literate (Excel and Word, as well as ideally Kypera), have excellent
communication skills, be a good team member and be able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
