Drumchapel Housing Co-operative is a fully mutual RSL operating in the Drumchapel estate in north west Glasgow.  We were registered in 1988, have a turnover of £2 million and own 480 properties.

Following a significant staff restructure in 2016, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated, committed and experienced individual to join our staff team as a Technical Manager.  This is an exciting new role that will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to lead the Cooperative’s asset management function, ensuring that planned, cyclical and responsive repairs are delivered in a manner that both provides excellent customer service and protects the Cooperative’s assets. The post holder will manage the staff within the maintenance team and form part of the senior management team.  This role also includes the provision of technical manager services to Cernach Housing Association two days per week, and the additional responsibility this brings has been reflected in the salary placing.

You should have a degree/post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or full membership of a relevant professional body or at least three years’ experience working at a senior level in an RSL maintenance/technical section (or similar).  You must be able to work with minimum supervision and on your own initiative to achieve personal and corporate objectives.  You should possess strong interpersonal and ICT skills and be familiar with MS Office.

Due to the nature of this post, regular evening and some weekend work will be required.
