The Company

The Role
Working closely with our Director of Operations, other Heads of Department and our wider Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will lead and be responsible for managing our factoring operations and have the ability to drive performance improvement and deliver value for money to our factored owners.  An in-depth knowledge and understanding of factoring in Scotland is critical as you will be expected to provide advice and guidance to both customers and other strategic departments within the organisation involved in the service delivery of our factored portfolio.

The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive under pressure, cope with a busy and demanding workload and be a team player.  The ability to prioritise your work to meet departmental objectives is also very important, as is the need to be ‘hands on’ with service delivery.

Exceptional communication skills are a pre-requisite as you will need to communicate well with people at all levels including both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
• To ensure the delivery of a professional factoring service to customers within agreed budgets and timescales
• To manage the factoring operation on a day to day basis and act as key decision maker for Maryhill Housing’s
   factoring service
• To play an active role in developing the shape of our services and structure to drive improvements including
   improving the use of new technologies to deliver efficiencies
• Contribute to production of annual budget, monitoring and reporting of income and expenditure
• Ensure customer satisfaction levels are maximised and engage effectively with our external customers
• To manage the competing priorities of budget control, customer satisfaction and meeting key performance
   indicators
• To lead on policy reviews. participating in audits, reviews and benchmarking
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory and legal requirements and other directives
• Drive a culture of “continuous improvement”

On Offer
• This fixed term role will come with a salary banding of £38,403 - £41,549 (pro rata) (EVH Grade 8). In addition, you will receive an excellent benefits package.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
• Proven demonstrable success operating at senior management level
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience to clearly demonstrate skill set
• Recent comparable experience within the field of property management
• Knowledge and experience of working for a housing association would also be advantageous for this role.
