Grading and Salaries
Compensation payment increases applicable from 6th April 2017.
Limit on week’s pay for redundancy/unfair dismissal was £479, now £489
Max basic award for unfair dismissal and statutory redundancy was £14,370, now £14,760
(30 weeks’ pay subject to above weekly limit)
Max basic award for unfair dismissal on grounds of trade union, H&S, pension, working time was £5,853 now £5,970
Max compensation award for unfair dismissal was £78,962, now £80,541
Max compensation for employee excluded/expelled from Trade Union was £8,939, now £9,118

Family Friendly Payments

Statutory Shared Parental Pay (ShPP), Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP) and Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP) have all increased from £139.58, to £140.98.

Statutory Sick Pay was £88.45, now £89.35.

National Minimum Wage (based on previous rate as of October 2016 and new rate as of April 2017)

25yrs+ was £7.20p/h, now £7.50p/h
21-24yrs was £6.95, now £7.05p/h
18-20yrs was £5.55p/h, now £5.60p/h
16-17yrs was £4.00p/h, now £4.05p/h
Apprentice under 19yrs or over 19yrs in first year of apprenticeship was £3.40p/h, now £3.50p/h
