Living Wage Week

16 November 2017

Grading and Salaries
The Living Wage Foundation have declared this year’s Living Wage Week as the biggest and best yet! Their hashtag #LivingWageWeek was trending on twitter for the entirety of Monday and they had lots of well known celebs signing up to their Thunderclap.

If you haven’t joined the movement and want to get your organisation accredited then here is how:

If you are a full member and not accredited with the Living Wage status your salaries already take account of the Living Wage. If you want to consider being accredited you should follow The Scottish Living Wage guidance:
•    This is open to all Scottish headquartered employers
•    You need to be paying directly employed staff over the age of 18 the Living Wage (£8.45 per hour)
•    You must also be paying subcontracted workers such as cleaners who are regularly on site 2 hours a day over an 8-week period.

The initial stage is a simple online form which can be completed here. Once complete and submitted, the accreditation team will get in touch to discuss the application process in more detail. Further information can also be obtained via the following methods:
•    email:  accreditation@povertyalliance.org
•    telephone: 0141 353 0440
•    post: The Poverty Alliance, 162 Buchanan Street, Glasgow, G1 2LL
