work life balance
The Living Wage Foundation has launched a major new programme called Living Hours. This programme is aimed at tackling insecurity over working hours to give workers real control over their lives.

Employers who commit and agree to the following measures can be accredited as Living Hours employers alongside their Living Wage accreditation.

•    Pay the real living wage,
•    Provide workers with at least four weeks’ notice of shifts,
•    A contract that accurately reflects hours worked, and
•    A contract with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours a week.

This new programme has been launched further to research by the Living Wage Foundation that identified that around one in six (5 million) workers are in low paid and insecure forms of work.
