Risk Assessment

The assessment of risk is the cornerstone of effective Health and Safety Management.

  • Risk assessment is an evaluation of what risks people may face in the workplace or in the process of work being carried out.
  • Risk management is the development and implementation of control measures to eliminate or control the risks identified.

Many Health and Safety regulations now incorporate requirements to adopt a risk assessment approach.  The resulting number and type of risk assessments needed can sometimes cause confusion, with employers having to decide whether assessments can be carried out by employees or whether external help is needed.

Our Health and Safety Control Manual provides practical solutions to these issues.  The Manual contains guidance and templates that your organisation can use when carrying out risk assessments
