The last Management Committee meeting was held at 7.00pm on Monday 5 November 2018 in Betty's Room, EVH Offices, 5th Floor, 137 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, G2 3EW.
The speaker for this month was Karen Anderson from Indigo House Group. Karen is a serial Governor, having served as both Executive and Non Executive Director in Scotland and overseas for more than 20 years. In her Chief Executive and other senior roles, she has turned around stressed organisations facing serious financial and governance challenges; delivered growth strategies for a range of small, medium and large enterprises; and set up a number of voluntary and private sector companies. As co-founder of Indigo House Group, Karen now specialises in supporting governing body members and those aspiring to board roles as well as senior executives, in practising good governance, confident leadership and robust strategy development. Karen has served as a governing body member with national charities, social enterprise companies and housing associations.
Karen lectures on Edinburgh Napier University’s Leadership in Board Governance course, sharing practical governance and leadership insights to increase executive and non-executive impact. She is regularly invited to address leadership conferences, facilitate Board strategy discussions and develop bespoke Governance Development Programmes.
Karen has developed and delivers the Know and Show Good Governance programme, to promote evidence-based, learning for governing body members. She has also created the Dilemma Governance Challenge, a new powerful and effective Board immersion experience for current and prospective committee members and senior officers.
