Hot Topic - Shared Parental Leave

15th May 2015 12:00pm-2:00pm

One of the key developments in employment law in 2015, which employers in the third sector need to be aware of, is the changes to ‘family friendly’ rights introduced by The Shared Parental Leave Regulations.  This is because the Regulations significantly extend the rights of fathers, adopters, and other partners of mothers to be paid time off in relation to children with an expected week of childbirth, or who are placed for adoption, on or after 5 April 2015.

Paul McMahon, Brodies LLP gave a detailed overview of the new shared parental leave rights and how they will operate in practice.  His presentation can be downloaded.
