H&S Hot Topic - Driving (& Cycling) at Work

18th Nov 2016 10:30am-12:30pm

This health and safety information session is aimed at those who are responsible for ensuring the health, safety and welling of employees who travel during the working day for work purposes.  Whilst employees are responsible for their own safety when commuting to and from the workplace, employers have a duty of care to ensure those who are required to go out and about are appropriately insured, trained and as safe as is reasonably practicable.

Driving/Cycling at Work was discussed during the recent Health & Safety Forum in September and a lot of questions were asked, leading to this session being arranged.

The seminar will cover:

•    Vehicle safety, insurance and training.
•    Employee and Employer responsibilities.
•    Best practice to ensure the safety of all employees.
•    Potential risks and liabilities.

The session will be led by John Cadden of ACS and will end with a buffet lunch and networking.
